Top Things to Do During Your Eureka Springs Vacation
EXPLORE DOWNTOWN EUREKA SPRINGS
You’ll want to take some time to explore downtown Eureka Springs during your vacation. This colorful, unique town is unlike any other in Northern Arkansas. You’ll see biker bars alongside luxurious spas and pass by restaurants serving all types of cuisine. Some of our favorites include the Local Flavor Cafe, the Grotto, and Ermilio’s Italian Home Cooking, though there are many more excellent restaurants in the area.
While you are in downtown Eureka Springs, be sure to stop by the art galleries! Eureka Springs is known for its art culture, among other things, reflected in its galleries, events, and the very architecture of the city. If you’re here on the weekend, it’s also worth swinging by Basin Spring Park, as there is often some kind of event happening at this charming park in the center of downtown.
As you walk amongst the distinctive Victorian buildings and modern structures, you’ll also be strolling through history—Eureka Springs’ entire downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places. A fun way to learn more about the unique history of Eureka Springs is to take a tour. Choose from a spooky ghost tour, sit back and relax on a trolley tour, or learn about the town’s underground tunnel system with an underground tour!
EXPLORE THE OZARKS
The natural beauty that surrounds Eureka Springs is brimming with adventures waiting to be had. Breathtaking mountains, lakes, wildlife, and underground formations abound in the wilderness of the Ozarks.

If you are an animal lover, a visit to the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is in order. The refuge provides a lifelong habitat for rescued exotic cats and is home to more than 100 animals.
Other one-of-a-kind attractions include the Christ of the Ozarks, which is a 65-foot tall Jesus statue, and the glass Throwncrown Chapel, whose beautiful architecture has rendered it one of the top wedding venues in Eureka Springs and greater Arkansas.
